mural commissions

this mural is located at fetch & friskers pet shop and barkery in boerne, texas. 

the owner of the pet shop asked me to create a mural that was colorful and personal, making sure to include both past and present store dogs, and customer dogs! 

this mural took month of planing, and months to execute due to me being in georgetown during Fall and spring semester. 

on june 3rd, 2023, fetch had a big mural unveiling event when people could come and bring their dogs to take pictures! the mural is now open to the public and is located in their courtyard. 

this mural is located on Ambleside School of Fredericksburg’s campus. the student’s who attend this private school in fredericksburg, texas experience an indepth and vast education. one of the classes all grades participate in is a muses course. from grades pre-k to 12th, students learn about artists, musicians, and poets from the past.  

for this mural, i was asked to look at some of the most well known artists in history that ambleside students learn about throughout the course of their education, and create a reproduction. from van gough, to picasso, this decision wasn’t easy. 

i eventually decided to stick to my comfort style of painting, Impressionism, and who better to honor than the founder of Impressionism himself?!

claude monet’s most popular series of paintings, “waterlillies,” is one of my personal favorites. When painting this, i incorporated my favorite aspects of his waterlily painitngs and made it my own! 

I’m personally obsessed with how this came out.
