Art has been part of my life since day one, and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon.
the kickstarter to my professional artistic carrier goes back to when i first stepped into ms. sue's art studio in 2012.
ms. sue never limited me, she saw my potential and helped me grow as an artist. i took everything from private lessons to attending every single on of her summer camps. she taught me everything from pencil, to brush, to clay.
upon aging out of her summer camps, ms. sue extended the opportunity for me to assume the role of a camp counselor. this experience provided invaluable insights into the intricacies of studio management, equipped me with the ability to effectively instruct children of diverse age groups, and enriched my command of artistic terminology.
during the academic year, i applied for and was accepted into ms. sue's advanced art program. this class not only served as a platform for building a robust portfolio but also facilitated networking opportunities crucial for my future in the realm of art. the skills and connections cultivated through this program laid a solid foundation for my college carrier.
i owe a lot to ms. sue.
i am currently pursing my studio art BFA at southwestern university in georgetown, texas.
my focus is in painting, but one thing i love about southwestern is the studio art program requires their artists to take a variety or studio courses in drawing, painting, sculpture & ceramics.
in the fall of my sophomore i became i member of zeta tau alpha.
i love being part of ZTA because of how they prioritize my academics & how we as an organization spread love in everything we do, which is why i'm proud to consider ZTA part of my identity. ZTA has introduced me to so many opportunities & people who support me!
